INTERNATIONAL
WORKSHOP

SOFIA

6TH and 7th
of July , 2022

Grand Hotel
Millennium
, Sofia

Objective

Transnational workshops aims to
help defense lawyers to overcome difficulties they may encounter in dealing with cases handled
by the EPPO once they are brought to national courts. Moreover, the transnational workshop will deal in particular with the problems that may arise in cross-border cases in which instruments of judicial
cooperation have been used. With this
aim, the workshop participants will be guided to face and resolve concrete cases within the competence of the EPPO.

The workshop will be highly interactive, and it will have a practice-oriented approach: main relevant case-law will be analyzed and hypothetical scenarios will be presented to actively involve participants in the identification of practical solutions as well as to encourage experiences exchange among them.

Workshops
will also stimulate discussions across different judicial professions about the
EPPO. National judges who
will have received cases from EPPO and prosecutors
who will have worked for EPPO from partner Member States
will be
invited to participate in order to share their practical experience in dealing
with the EPPO with participants.

After
the events, a short questionnaire will be handed out to participants in order
to collect their opinions on the exchange

experience (strength and weakness
points) and their needs about further training and about difficulties emerged
and
challenges for the future.
